Hi, everyone!
Lots of great things are happening at Living Faith Lutheran as we journey through Lent!
Last Sunday
We have a beautiful new addition to our altar thanks to John and Peg McAllister! Their construction of this cross is so creative and full of symbolism! Thank you!
We received an offering of $1,285 last Sunday.
This Sunday
Join in our 10:00 - 10:45 time of Faith and Fellowship! The coffee pot will be on, and we will visit together by sharing our highs and lows and learning more about each other!
We welcome Deacon Eric Haitz who will be presiding at our 11:00 service this Sunday in the PUCC Youth Room. Come meet the Western Iowa Synod's newly installed deacon!
Judd Kopperud is our reader. We will not be having communion this Sunday.
March 22 Lenten Service
PUCC members are invited to attend Wednesday nights with Living Faith! Thank you to Rachel Cunningham for accompanying us!
5:00 - Worship with Holden Evening Prayer Service
5:30 - Meal featuring assorted pizzas and dessert. A freewill offering will be taken.
6:30 - PUCC Small Group – You’re invited to join in a small group discussion on “A New Family – Throwing Open the Doors of the Church” in the PUCC Fellowship Hall.
Debbie Gibson will provide bottles of water and Sharon Utesch, June Ferguson and Janelle Bixenman will bring dessert.
Don't forget to bring your change to drop in our Lenten offering box! After the season of Lent, we will open the box and total the donations and decide which local charities to support with our offerings!
Checking Account Update!
Living Faith Lutheran now has an account with Primebank! If you wish to donate by check, please make your checks out to Living Faith Lutheran! If you wish to do direct depositing for your offerings, please let Kay or Kari know and we can get you the information you will need to set that up!
Synod Assembly Update
Yvonne Law will be our delegate to the Synod Assembly which will be held in Le Mars at the Convention Center on April 21 and 22. Thank you for representing Living Faith Lutheran, Yvonne!
Mark Juhl will also be a delegate and he will be representing the Church of the Damascus Road.
Check the sign-up table at church for a list of jobs and items that are needed for the assembly. Please consider giving of your time for a small portion of this event!
There will be a Community Breakfast as a part of the assembly outreach to the community on Saturday morning of the 22nd. There will be copies available on Sunday for you to pick up and pass around town or to post in your workplaces and favorite hang-out spots.
Palm Sunday is Just Two Sundays Away!
We will be reading the Passion of Christ on Palm Sunday. Male readers are needed! Please see the sign-up table to take a part and pick up the script!
What has the Leadership Team Been Up to?
The Leadership Team has been asked about the transferring of membership. Pastor Denne is contacting Bishop Lorna to talk about the steps Living Faith needs to do in order to begin this process. We've discussed putting together a constitution and having a charter member signing as a part of the preliminary things that may need to be done prior to a transfer. We will keep everyone apprised of the process when we have a clear direction.
Easter plans are in place! Easter breakfast will be served from 8:30 - 9:15 on Easter Sunday (April 9th) in the Fellowship Hall of the PUCC! Easter service will follow at 9:30 in the Youth Room. There will be a sign up for Easter breakfast items at future Lent and Sunday services.
The Leadership Team is discussing an accounting system for Living Faith. Some members are giving great help in guiding us in the decision-making process.
We will meet next on Wednesday, March 22 at 4:00.
If you are unsure of who serves on Living Faith Lutheran's Leadership Team, check out our "About Us" Page.
