LFL Weekly News (1/30/2023)

This morning I read this: "Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin.." Zechariah 4: 10 and I thought of us!

Here's the news for Living Faith this week:

Worship this Sunday!

Please join us for worship this Sunday at 11:00 am at the PUCC. Park in the back of the church and enter through the Noah's Ark Preschool door! Last week was our inaugural livestream on Facebook. Thank you to Angela Catton for initiating this endeavor!

Reader for this Sunday is Nathan Summerside and Karen Schroeder is serving communion. We need one more volunteer to be with Karen! Please email me if you are willing!

Cheryl and Mark Juhl (outside left and right) stand with their daughter Melinda Shipley (holding Atlas) and husband Nick Shipley (holding Troy).

It was so special to welcome Troy and Atlas Shipley into the Living Faith Family as our first baptisms! Congratulations to parents Nick and Melinda and grandparents Mark and Cheryl Juhl!

We had 37 in attendance and our offering totaled $709.

Logo for Living Faith

If you haven't voted for our new logo, we warn you that it will be difficult to choose! The 3 choices are beautiful! You can vote your choice by emailing Kay or you can mark a ballot at this Sunday's service. The new logo will be unveiled on February 12!

Fellowship Time on Sunday, February 19

Come at 10:00 am, enjoy a cup of coffee and a fun time together as we get to know each other better by going Once Around the Table!

Parents of 4 year olds - 5th Graders

4 year olds - 5th graders are invited to join in on the PUCC's Children's Chapel time on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th Sundays of each month. This Sunday School-type event runs from approximately 10:10 am - 10:55 am in the Chapel at the PUCC.

Ash Wednesday and Lent

Pastor Denne and the Leadership Team are working on plans for the season of Lent. Ash Wednesday services with the imposition of ashes and communion will be held at 5:00 pm on February 22nd. Weekly Wednesday Lenten services (March 1 - March 29) will be held at 5:00 pm with a light meal to follow in the Fellowship Hall. A sign-up sheet will be available on Sunday, February 19 for those who wish to contribute to our first meal of soup and sandwiches on March 1.

Hymnals

St. John Lutheran of Craig has gifted us with several more hymnals they are no longer using. We appreciate their generosity!

Blessings!
